At FosterHope Sacramento, we work to help children, teens, and families feel safe, supported, and connected throughout the year. During the holidays, that work includes creating opportunities to celebrate, share meaningful moments, and experience the care of a community. For youth in foster care and families navigating difficult circumstances, these moments can bring comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging. This year, there are several meaningful ways you can help:
Sponsor our holiday party on December 5. Your sponsorship helps us bring our Polar Express Holiday Celebration to life, supporting a special evening of food, activities, entertainment, and holiday fun. It gives youth and families a chance to come together, make memories, and enjoy a celebration planned with them in mind.
Fulfill a child’s Christmas wishlist. Choosing gifts from a child’s wishlist makes giving personal. Your kindness helps us provide something they have hoped for while reminding them that their interests, wishes, and happiness matter. Whether you fulfill one wish or an entire list, you can help make a child’s holiday brighter.
Host a gift card drive or fundraiser. Gather your coworkers, friends, family, or community group to help us meet additional holiday needs. Gift cards offer flexibility and choice, while funds raised help FosterHope respond to needs as they arise and fill gaps in holiday support. These contributions help us extend care to more of the youth and families we serve.

Deadlines may vary depending on how you choose to give. Please confirm the deadline with our team when arranging your donation so we have time to organize and distribute gifts before the celebrations. We typically ask that all donations are received by the week of December 7th, 2026.
